GBA Youth Forum 2023

The GBA Youth Forum is organised by the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation, and co-organised by the HKET Holdings and the Greater Bay Area Homeland Development Fund. The theme for this year's forum is "Diversity and Integration: Pathway to a Brighter Tomorrow". Targeting youth, tertiary students and high school students, the forum will focus on the following three youth-related topics: "Entrepreneurship Across Disciplines", "Innovation Across Generations", and "Culture and Sports Across Borders".

Stakeholders from various sectors are invited to speak about current developments and trends related to these topics. We also hope to inspire young people with different aspirations and encourage them to explore career paths in entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, culture and sports.

The development of the Greater Bay Area is a key strategy in China’s reform and opening up. The 14th Five-Year Plan supports the development of Hong Kong in eight key areas ("eight centres"), including its role as an international financial centre, international innovation and technology centre, and East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange. Measures under the Plan will not only promote the diversified development of Hong Kong but also create opportunities for extensive integration.

Our nation also attaches great importance to the development of young people. As stated by President Xi Jinping in his important speech on 1 July 2022, “Hong Kong will prosper only when its young people thrive; Hong Kong will develop only when its young people achieve well-rounded development; and Hong Kong will have a bright future only when its young people have good career prospects”. By leveraging Hong Kong's development strategies and the unique advantages of the Greater Bay Area, young people can realise their potential and fulfil their aspirations.

Young people are the most innovative and creative generation. By cultivating their diverse development and integrating various forces , Hong Kong can consolidate its advantages along with the national development. Young people should seize the opportunity, step out of their comfort zones to explore and develop networks for a pathway to a brighter future.
